Broken children
Broken children's slide with tape across it.

During one of our regular Plympton Canvasses, Councillor candidate Paul McNamara and the team noticed this dilapidated children’s slide in one of the parks near Glenhaven Close.

The Plympton area has been represented by Conservative councillors exclusively since the mid-90s, so there’s no question as to who is responsible for ensuring the issues of the Plympton wards are addressed. This particular issue, however, seems to have passed them by.

Nevertheless, the team reported the issue to the Labour-majority Plymouth City Council, and within a matter of days the slide was repaired and ready for the local children to play safely once again.

Our thanks to Plymouth City Council for acting so quickly – it was a pleasure for Plympton Labour Party, one of three South West Devon branches, to be able to do this on behalf of the Chaddlewood Plympton community!
